Tacony mother in custody for death of twin toddlers

Police took a Tacony woman into custody late Thursday afternoon after two of her children were discovered dead in the home on the 6800-block of Ditman Street and a third child was deemed ill.

Eighteen-month-old twins Adam and Eve were found suffocated and drowned, according to reports, and their 4-year-old sister had been given prescription medication. Their mother had attempted suicide.

Homicide detectives are investigating and the 4-year-old remains hospitalized. No other suspects are in custody.
