Surviving a mob attack

I knew Emily Guendelsberger as a highly-regarded copy editor when I was at the Philadelphia Daily News, and I was stunned to hear she and her boyfriend were among those attacked by a mob of young thugs on North Broad St. last weekend.

She underwent surgery to repair a badly broken leg this week. You can read Emily’s firsthand account of the attack here.

Emily is the local arts and entertainment editor for The Onion, which is published in collaboration with the owners of the Inquirer and Daily News. But she has no health insurance. You can join me in contributing to her medical bills by going to this site, and clicking on Donate.

    Get better, Emily.
