Speaking to a chilled but enthusiastic crowd, former President Bill Clinton stopped in Blue Bell, Pa., Monday during a sweep of the state to rally voters for President Barack Obama.
Thousands attended the rally at Montgomery County Community College where Clinton told the crowd at the outdoor event that Obama is the best leader for the country. Obama ahs worked to save the American automobile industry, reform health care and invest in education and modern manufacturing.
Clinton also noted Obama’s work with Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Clinton said it demonstrates that Obama believes the country works best when everyone works together regardless of political affiliation.
From Montgomery County, Clinton was planning to stop in Philadelphia and then go on to Scranton.
He started the day with a rally in Pittsburgh.
