Street closures this Sunday for Philadelphia Triathlon

If you plan on driving in and around Northwest Philadelphia this weekend, there are a few major street closures to keep in mind.

In order to clear the path for the Philadelphia Triathlon, the entire length of Kelly Drive will be completely closed to all traffic (park trolleys included) at 5 a.m. on Sunday. The road will reopen by 11:30 a.m. from Lincoln Drive to Fairmount Avenue.

There will be no access to Fairmount Park from Hunting Park Avenue, the Roosevelt Expressway or Midvale Avenue.

Also, on the day of the race, there will be no private access for cars to the Art Museum. Buses, taxis and handicapped vehicles will be permitted through the Spring Garden Tunnel. All pedestrian access to the Art Museum will be available at 25th Street and Kelly Drive.
