Stockton College buys resort to house students

Stockton College students won’t need to make Spring Break travel arrangements anymore since some of them will soon be living in a resort.

The college has finalized a deal to buy the Seaview Resort in Galloway Township, N.J., the Star-Ledger reports.

A four-star golf resort and spa, Seaview will remain open to the public, but half the hotel rooms will be used as dorms so the college can accommodate more students who want to live near campus. Officials at the college say the purchase costs less than if the college were to build new dorms, and the college will profit from operating the resort.

Dorms sure have come a long way since the days of twin beds and tile floors.
