Sterling’s racist rant renders satire impossible

As President Obama has said, “When ignorant folks want to advertise their ignorance, you don’t really have to do anything, you just let them talk.” Is it really possible that Donald Sterling, the owner of the L.A. Clippers NBA team, is that ignorant?

In any event, I know how the president feels.  When the owner of a team in the National Basketball Association, 75 percent of whose players are black, utters such racist nonsense, he’s committing satire on a very high level. All an ink-stained wretch such as myself can do is a realistic depiction of reality.
