Sporting goods store launches concussion-awareness program in Cherry Hill

For three hours today, it’ll be all about concussions at the Dick’s Sporting Goods in Cherry Hill.

Former Eagles running back Brian Mitchell will help launch the store’s Protecting Athletes through Concussion Education program that focuses on concussion awareness.

Collingswood Patch reports young athletes can go to the event (3 to 6 p.m.) today for demonstration testing with the computerized ImPACT system. The program launches in Cherry Hill, but the store’s goal is to do baseline concussion screening for young athletes across the country.
