South Philadelphia bar hosts 11th Street block party

This is one for the grownups. South Philly’s relatively new Hawthornes Cafe is having a block party this afternoon, and it’s all about the beer.

Part of South 11th Street will close for the event, which runs from 4 p..m. to 8 p.m. and features 24 varieties of IPA beer and some live music to go along with it.

Admittance is free; the beers are not.
