South Jersey pet cemetery up for sale

The owner of a south Jersey pet cemetery says she’s forced to put the property up for sale because she faces rising costs and property taxes.

Pet Lawn Memorial Park in Berlin has been the final resting place to more than 15,000 pets and a dozen cremated humans since it opened in 1951.
Owner Jill Weilenbeck tells The Philadelphia Daily News some people stopped paying the $50 annual maintenance fees and she just can’t bring herself to take them to court.

She faces a $25,000 annual property tax bill for the 6.13-acre tract along Route 73.

The entire property is selling for $599,000.
