Son of convicted former Camden mayor to run for council

The name ‘Milton Milan’ is making headlines again, but this time it’s not for corruption.

Milton Milan, Jr., the son of former Camden Mayor Milton Milan, has decided to run for a seat in Camden City Council as an independent. The elder Milan, convicted of corruption while in office in 2000, spent about seven years in prison, according to a report by the Associated Press. Milan Jr. threw his hat into the 3rd Ward ring, where his father served before being elected mayor.
