Some dogs rescued from Chester County home up for adoption

Some of the dogs rescued last week from an illegal kennel in Chester County are ready for adoption. Eight of the 54 rescues are looking for new homes.

Chester County SPCA officials tell the West Chester Daily Local the dogs are 1 to 8 years old, and are small breeds like poodles and terriers.

The adoption fee is $125 and includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, micro-chipping and a bag of food. Requests will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.

The dogs were recovered from a home last week where the owner, who’s been charged with animal cruelty, was selling them on eBay.
