Snow falling in northern half of NJ Saturday morning; rain to snow in southern areas later

A mixed bag of precipitation is moving through New Jersey at 10:40 a.m., with snow falling generally to the northwest of the I-95 corridor.

But as temperatures drop, the rain/snow line will drop further to the south and east.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the northern half of the Garden State, where two to four inches of snow is expected by 6 p.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

In the southern half, where rain is falling at 10:40 a.m., precipitation is expected to changeover to snow during the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. An inch or two of snow is expected during a burst this afternoon.
