Small Pa. distillers a step closer to on-site sales
Folks who know how to distill their own small-batch spirits should already be happy, but the Pennsylvania State Senate just made them a lot happier. Soon they will be able to sell what they make.
Philadelphia Magazine’s PhillyPost.com reports that the Senate voted yesterday 40-9 to pass H.B. 242, a bill that would allow small-scale Pennsylvania distilleries to sell their products on site, as wineries and breweries can already do.
Governor Corbett is expected to sign it into law.
