SJTA suspending auto registrations for toll dodgers

Frequent toll dodgers on the Atlantic City Expressway may soon find themselves paying a much steeper price for their folly.

Later this week the South Jersey Transportation Authority will give the Motor Vehicle Commission the names of 150 individuals who have over $200 in unpaid tolls. According to the PressofAtlanticCity.com, notices will be mailed to the offenders alerting them that they have 25-days to make good on their fines, or the registration on their vehicles will be suspended.

The program will only affect New Jersey Drivers because the Motor Vehicle Commission cannot revoke the registrations of out-of-state drivers.
