Six rescued after boat becomes stuck on submerged jetty near Barnegat Light

    Six people were rescued from a recreational boat that became stuck on a submerged jetty near Barnegat Light Saturday morning. 

    The U.S. Coast Guard received a call about a 40-foot vessel caught on the jetty that required assistance, according to a statement from U.S. Coast Guard Station Barnegat Light. 

    Crews from the U.S. Coast Guard, New Jersey State Police, and Sea Tow responded to the scene and secured the boat, which was saved, the statement said.

    There were no injuries.
