Shipwreck discovered off Delaware coast
University of Delaware researchers have found the wreck of the W.R. Grace. It’s a 3 masted ship that ran aground during a hurricane on September 12, 1889.
Arthur Trembanis, an associate professor of ocenography, led the team that discovered the wreck. When they came upon they found the wreck to be older than they though. The team did a video of their findings, which can be seen on the University’s website.
