SEPTA riders will get elevators at 15th Street Market-Frankford El

Two new elevators may seem like small additions, but for SEPTA riders who use the 15th Street Market-Frankford El, they will be a welcomed site.

PlanPhilly reports the elevators will be installed as part of Center City’s redesign of the City Hall courtyard.

The addition to the El station comes courtesy of a consent decree that ends a lawsuit filed against SETPA eight years ago, according to PlanPhilly.

Two elevators will also be installed from the courtyard to the concourse by SEPTA and the Center City District, as part of the project.  Elevators will also be added down to the 15th Street trolley platforms.
