SEPTA asks riders to share ‘moving’ stories for Love Train contest

The idea of a Valentine’s date on SEPTA might not sound romantic, but for those who met and reconnected on their commute, it’s the perfect way to spend the day.

The pink and red holiday is nearing, which means SEPTA’s Love Train contest is back. Now through Feb. 6, riders are asked to share their stories of commuter romance.

Couple who found love or re-connected with old flames on a bus, train or trolley are asked to send their stories, photos and videos to the transit authority’s Love Stories website. There, the public can vote for the favorite “SEPTA Sweethearts.” The top vote-getters will win prizes and a ride on the Love Train — a romantically decorated train on the Market-Frankford Line with a view of the Love Letters Project.
