SEPTA approves contracts for City Hall subway station work

SEPTA’s board has awarded three contracts for the improvements scheduled for the City Hall subway station.

The $7.5 million deal is a far cry from the original $100 million makeover plan, but the contracts will yield elevators and new fare lines.

PlanPhilly reports Thomas P. Carney Inc., Mulhern Electric Co. and Dolan Mechanical Co. will handle the project, and SEPTA has also reached a reimbursement deal with the Center City District.
