SEPTA adjusts service schedule for July 4th events

You might still be making your holiday weekend plans, but SEPTA’s got it all figured out.

The transit authority will offer some additional service over the weekend to accommodate the droves of people trying to get to and from the festivities.

Routes will run on a Sunday schedule for the Fourth, which means those without a regular Sunday schedule won’t run Independence Day. But, SEPTA has added service to the Regional Rail, Broad Street and Market-Frankford lines Monday to help folks get around quicker and later.

Changes start Saturday, with extra afternoon service on the train and subway lines to help people get into Center City.
