Search continues for serial bank robber
The FBI and police in Philadelphia and Cheltenham Township are still searching for a serial bank robber whom they believe is wanted for five other bank robberies in Cheltenham and Northeast Philadelphia.
Yesterday morning, a man robbed the Sovereign Bank at 500 Central Ave. in Cheltenham. He’s also a suspect in the following robberies:

Bank of America, 1000 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, Nov. 30
Bank of America, 6425 Rising Sun Ave., Philadelphia, Dec. 1
VIST Financial, 8004 Verree Rd., Philadelphia, Dec. 2
The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s or early 30s, approximated 5’6″ to 5’8″ with a medium build.
