C.W. Henry School in Mt. Airy held its first-ever Turkey Trot 5K on Saturday morning to raise funds for classroom technology and the school’s Playworks program, an organization that helps provide safe and structured play for children.

There were a total of 91 participants on Saturday — 60 ran the 5K and 31 walked the 2K option.

“We look to continue to strengthen our school and neighborhood communities by incorporating more activities together,” said Robin Roberts, a parent of three students at C. W. Henry.
