The Wissahickon Restoration Volunteers is offering the first day of its Eco-Restoration Leadership Program, beginning at 9 a.m. at Pachella Field on Henry Ave.

The program, which is designed to be informative, active and fun, is free and open to the public.

The first day of class includes an orientation to volunteering in the park followed by a “defensive” restoration workday in a mesophytic area near Pachella.
