Roseanne Barr gets local Green Party endorsement for president

Roseanne Barr has won the endorsement for president from Philadelphia’s Green Party.

Barr beat out two others for the support, but even the party’s local coordinator has acknowledged Barr’s celebrity probably had a big part in her getting 55 percent of the vote.

“The discussion was that you can’t pass up this celebrity moment out there, even if Jill [Stein] is a smarter, better candidate,” Pennsylvania Green Party Team Coordinator Hillary Kane told Philadelphia Weekly. “Roseanne could help us break out into the mainstream.”
