Rev. Jesse Jackson to speak in Philadelphia this weekend

In an effort to stress the importance of participating in our electoral process, the Reverend Jesse Jackson will be speaking at multiple locations around the city this weekend preaching a “Get Out The Vote” message.

On Saturday, the Reverend will address the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists Black Worker’s Forum at the National Constitution Center.

On Sunday, he will speak to two separate West Philadelphia church congregations, stopping first at the Bible Way Baptist Church at 11 a.m. and then at the Greater Bible Way Temple at 11:30 a.m., both located on North 52nd Street.

He will be joined by community members, Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell, members of the Philadelphia branch of the NAACP, and members of the grassroots coalition Fight for Philly.
