Report: Atlantic League of Professional Baseball may expand

The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball already has eight teams in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Maryland – and apparently, that’s not enough.

According to a report in the Philadelphia Business Journal, the league is considering adding a second Long Island, New York team.

On Monday, the Philadelphia Business Journal says Nassau County officials awarded the rights to operate a minor league baseball team in a ballpark that would be part of the development of a proposed coliseum to league founder and CEO Frank Boulton.
