State Rep. DeLissio to host economic roundtable this week

State Rep. Pamela DeLissio will host a roundtable discussion about economic development this Friday afternoon at West Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Both state and local economic development stakeholders will be on hand to discuss the challenges, opportunities and best practices needed to drive economic development in the 194th Legislative District.

“The concept of a roundtable, versus a hearing, is to provide a dialogue that sparks ideas from people on the ground and from all perspectives,” said Rep. DeLissio. “The people we need to speak with are the folks in the trenches delivering services, [the people] who understand what works and what we need to be doing differently.”

The meeting attendees include seven area economic development agencies, representatives from the state Department of Community and Economic Development, Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation and City of Philadelphia Department of Commerce.
