“Tumbleweed Tuesday” in Wildwood

Shore residents refer to the Tuesday following Labor Day as “Tumbleweed Tuesday,” signifying the beginning of “local summer.”

As Don Henley sings, “Nobody on the road, nobody on the beach.”

But Henley’s next line, “I feel it in the air, the summer’s out of reach,” doesn’t apply to those that live here or visit the beaches in September and October.

    We’re going strong.
