Public meeting on design options for Seaford park

Sussex County is holding a meeting tonight to get public feedback on the proposed Woodland Park west of Seaford.

Once developed, it will be a publicly accessible recreation area with trails and open space.

The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Nanticoke Senior Center, 1001 W. Locust Street, in Seaford. County leaders as well as Pennoni Associates Inc. will present a number of options for the park’s design. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting to provide input on the final design.

The park is planned for a portion of the former Woodland Golf Course, which the County purchased in May 2010 in preparation for the Nanticoke River dredging project.
