    Hundreds of New Jersey residents joined in a Tea Party rally to urge that the size of government be reduced to help control a rising tax burden.

    Valerie Belmonte from Fords, New Jersey says she hopes lawmakers go along with Governor Chris Christie’s budget cutting proposals.

    “They’re taxing us into poverty,” says Belmonte, “leaving too much debt to our children and grandchildren.”
