Poll shows Nutter is favored Democratic mayoral candidate

    Not only do Philadelphia Democrats favor Michael Nutter over a generic Democratic mayoral candidate, they’d also vote for him over Sen. Anthony Hardy Williams, Councilman Bill Green and former candidate Sam Katz.

    PoliticsPA polled 871 likely Democrat voters between Jan. 12 and Jan. 16. The Municipoll revealed the registered Democrats are likely to vote for Nutter in the upcoming mayoral primary.

    Nutter earned 47 percent of the vote against generic and undecided candidates, 46 percent against Green, Williams and an undecded candidate and 44 percent against Williams, an undecided candidate and one-time potential candidate Sam Katz.
