Poll says Runyan 10 points ahead in congressional race

    Rep. Jon Runyan, a Republican, has a 10-point lead over challenger Shelly Adler in the race for the 3rd District Congressional seat in New Jersey, according to The Stockton Polling Institute.

     

     

     The press of Atlantic City reports that more than 51 percent of those polled have a favorable or very favorable opinion of Runyan, a former Philadelphia Eagle.

    Adler is the widow of John Adler, whom Runyan defeated in 2010.

    The poll also showed that, although voters liked Runyan, they disliked Congress, with only 10 percent of those polled believing the Congress was doing a “good” or “excellent” job.
