Suspect shot after allegedly shooting at police in Chester

    Police in Chester say a suspect who drew his gun on police during a foot chase late Friday night has died.

    According to a report from NBC 10, police report performing a pedestrian stop on East 23rd Street in Chester Friday, just before midnight.

    Police say the suspect, a 21-year-old man, ran away causing officers to chase after him.  According to investigators, the 21-year-old allegedly pulled a gun and fired, prompting police to fire back.

    NBC 10 reports the man died from his wounds after being taken to Crozer Chester Medical Center.
