Police search for Delaware friends who went missing during hurricane

Update: NBC10 reports the bodies of both men were found around 3 p.m. this afternoon in Mill Creek.

Original report: Police are searching for two friends last seen in Hockessin, Del., who went missing during Hurricane Irene.

Christopher Valentine and Jean Baptista, both 25, were last seen around midnight, around the time they sent a text message to a friend saying they were running through the hurricane.

The car they were driving was found at a restaurant parking lot, and the text was sent around Campbell Road (Rt. 82) and Centerville Road, as WHYY/NewsWorks’ Mark Eichmann reports. Anyone with information is asked to call New Castle County Police at (302) 573-2800, or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
