New Castle County Police released sketches of the two suspects involved in the robbery of a 12-year-old confined to a wheelchair (Sketches provided by NCCPD)

New Castle County Police have released sketches of the two suspects involved in the robbery of a 12-year-old boy confined to a wheelchair.

The wheelchair bound victim was ambushed by two boys while exercising outside in the Newark community of Christiana Green on Monday afternoon. The attackers ran up behind the boy, pushed his wheelchair causing it to get caught in a storm grate. They beat up the boy and made off with a lanyard and key.

Police said the same boys attacked the same victim a few days earlier.

Police provided the following description of the boys:

Suspect #1 – African-American male, 12-14 years of age, 4’8″ tall, thin build with short black hair.
Suspect #2 – Caucasian male, 12-14 years of age, 4’8” tall, regular build with short blonde hair and a small birth mark on his hand.

Both boys are wanted in connection with the assault and robbery.
