Police re-issue surveillance photos from May 31 Chestnut Hill bank robbery

The Philadelphia Police Department has released for a second time bank surviellance photos of the May 31, 2011. Sovereign Bank robbery. In an apparent attempt to generate new leads in the investigation the police have issued this statement:

FBI and Northwest Detective Division is Seeking the Public’s Help in Identifying the Suspects in Surveillance Photos

On May 31, 2011, at approximately 1:00pm, two unknown males entered the Sovereign Bank located at 8623 Germantown Avenue armed with shotguns. Suspect #1 entered the bank wearing a mask demanding bank employees on the floor. Suspect #2 then entered the bank, jumped over the teller counter demanding money. The tellers complied placing approximately $32,000.00 in a bag from teller registers. Both suspects then fled the bank through the rear door and into the rear parking lot and fled in a silver Pontiac Grand Am in an unknown direction.

Suspect Description:#1- Black male, 25-27 years of age, red baseball cap, wearing a black shirt, tan pants and mask armed with a shotgun#2- Black male, 25-27 years of age, black baseball cap, wearing all black clothing, armed with a shotgun
