Police: Pa. high school students ran theft ring

More than a dozen high school students are facing charges after police say they uncovered a cellphone theft ring at a suburban Philadelphia high school.

Investigators say the suspects swiped cellphones, iPads and other tablets from fellow students at Bensalem High School and resold them on Craigslist. Police say at least 24 electronic devices were taken in the last two months.
Bensalem police say an undercover investigation began in October after the school and police noticed an unusual pattern of thefts. Authorities say two or three students sold the items stolen by the rest of the suspects.

The suspects range in age from 14 to 17 and all face juvenile charges. Police say more arrests are possible.
