Police: Decomposing body found in Delaware River
Pennsylvania authorities say they’re trying to determine the identity of a decomposing body that washed up on a small island in the Delaware River.
Lower Makefield Township police say the body of a white male between the ages of 25 and 35 was found Saturday afternoon. Capt. Tom Roche says it appears the body had been in the water for some time.
Officials say the body could be that of a man who disappeared during an outing a few miles upriver in early August. Roche says officials have contacted authorities in that township and New Jersey, where the man’s party left shore.
