Plovers thriving at Cape Henlopen.

State environmental officials say it’s been a good summer for piping plovers.  DNREC says counting the chicks or fledgling were difficult because they were hiding out in thick beach grass.  A survey done in the last week of July found five pairs of adults tending to 10 chicks.
