    You might think the word ecliptic has something to do with an eclipse, no where near in fact. Derrick Pitts explains. Keep an eye out for the Taurid meteor shower happening this week, although it’s not very impressive. Only about 5 meteors per hour come from the shower, but what makes it significant is that its radiant point emanates from the northern portion of Taurus. And if that wasn’t enough sky viewing for you take a trip to the Franklin Institute this Thursday for their program Night Skies in the Observatory. All this and more on this weeks Sky Talk.
