Phone system error blocking some calls to Montco 911

    Montgomery County officials are warning residents that a phone system error is blocking some from reaching the 9-1-1 call center.

    The county was notified of the failure this morning.So far, it has confirmed failures in half-a-dozen municipalities:

    At least some residents of Hatboro, Upper and Lower Moreland, Abbington, Cheltenham, Upper Dublin and Horsham are affected.

    In case of emergency, Montgomery County officials are urging residents to try the 9-1-1 number first.
