Phoenixville council appoints new member to vacated position

Phoenixville Council filled the latest vacancy in its membership Tuesday when Jennifer Mayo was appointed to a middle ward seat. Mayo was one of three potential candidates for the position, which opened up earlier this month when Vice President Michael Handwerk resigned and Kendrick Buckwalter assumed his role, creating a  member vacancy.

As the Phoenix reports, Mayo previously worked for the planning commission and economic development committee. She’ll seek re-election later this year.
