Philly Tech Meetup launches new ‘Fireside Chats’ series

Here’s the $481-million question: How can Philly build a more vibrant innovation ecosystem?

Philly Tech Meetup is taking a stab at that question with a new program called “Fireside Chats.” The event series promises “enlightening discussions, debates and presentations about entrepreneurship, startups, tech, and venture capital from the foremost thinkers in the industry.”

The discussion series kicks off this evening at 5:30. The topic: “New money. New investment models. New rules. A new VC paradigm?”

Panelists include big wigs from business (Intel Capital), government (the U.S. Department of Energy’s ARPA-E program) and the nonprofit sector (Kauffman Foundation).
