Philly residents chip in to help rescued puppy

Rescuers of injured puppy, Sailor, have collected enough donations to pay for his expensive leg surgery, reports Philebrity.

Sailor was first found abandoned on a South Philadelphia street after being struck by a car.

With three legs injured and signs of neglect, Sailor’s rescuers Dan Langlois and Clair Sauer told CBS news they expected the pup to die.

But after a little love and proper care, the pair nursed Sailor back to health and learned that the puppy would need an expensive surgery on his legs.

Not being able to pay for the surgery, resourcefully the two started a website calling for donations.  In about 24 hours they received enough funds for the surgery.

Sailor will go into surgery on Tuesday, reports Philebrity.
