Philly, Camden celebrate the Fourth with days-long festivals

Philadelphia’s July 4th celebration began more than a week ago, but the next three days are really the highlight.

Philly and Camden are going all out for the Fourth with parades, food, music, discounts and of course, fireworks.

There’s not a chance we could pack all the events into one modest Feed post, so here’s a list of some can’t-miss events for the weekend.

    Chinatown Block Party
    all-you-can-eat ice cream
    Party on the Parkway
Fourth of July Jam and grand finale fireworks

As part of the holiday weekend, the two riverfront cities have teamed up for Independence Blast!, which includes synchronized fireworks Saturday night. Camden will host military-themed and family-friendly events Saturday and Sunday, while the two cities dish out ice cream for the Joshua Kahan Fund to find a cure for pediatric leukemia.

Philly pretty much lays claim to the Fourth, make sure you reap the benefits this weekend. Here’s the full schedule of events from Visit Philly and Wawa Welcome America.
