Philadelphia’s Republican candidates talk issues at debate

    The word debate is being tossed around a lot these days, given the upcoming elections. Philadelphia’s council districts are having their own debate, WHYY helped facilitate a debate for council-at-large candidates and Milton Street has dared Mayor Michael Nutter to debate him.

    But until now, we haven’t heard much from the Republicans.

     

    NewsWorks partner Philadelphia Weekly has a recap of last night’s open town hall event for some of the Republican candidates for city office.

    City Commissioner candidate Al Schmidt was the clear favorite, but PW summed up everyone’s arguments in key points and big issues.
