Philadelphia warns of possible flooding near the Schuylkill River

    The Schuylkill river is expected to rise to near flood stage this afternoon, and the city is encouraging those living or traveling near it to be on alert:

    “Flood Warning from 1:00PM to 7:00PM for small streams and Schuylkill River. Don’t drive through flooded roads. 

    Flood Warning for the Schuylkill River at Philadelphia until this evening or until the warning is cancelled. At 10:01 am Wednesday the stage was 10.4 feet. Flood stage is 11.0 feet. Minor flooding is forecast.
