Philadelphia City Hall tower tours suspended to repair crack

A crack in a part of Philadelphia City Hall’s tower has forced city officials to suspend tower tours.

NewsWorks reporter Tom MacDonald reports the city has suspended tours so that crews can repair the crack in the tower.

Workers are scheduled to examine the crack and begin repair work Friday.

Fox 29 reported the crack on Monday – city officials told the TV station it could be the result of last month’s earthquake, but weren’t sure of an exact cause.
