Phila. officials continue search for special victims co-location facility

Although the deal to place a co-location facility for police Special Victims Unit detectives and child victim advocates fell through, Philadelphia city officials say the search will continue.

According to a story from PlanPhilly, a deal was close to being done to place the facility in East Falls, but many in the neighborhood objected.

City officials have suggested the attention from the East Falls deal falling through could aid in the search for the right location.

Everett Gillison, deputy mayor for Public Safety, told PlanPhilly the facility would be reality.
