The 150-space cell phone waiting lot is located on the grounds of the airport. The space was created this year to deter drivers from parking illegally on the I-95 off-ramp while waiting for flight arrivals.
But one lingering concern was would anyone be able to find this new waiting lot?
Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter.
Nutter: Yes (laughs) yeah, that’s one of our goals is not only having it but people knowing where it is. I think there will be enhanced and upgraded signage to help with that.
The lot is now officially marked with large blue signs for easy recognition – and three digital monitors that display flight information are scheduled to be installed by the end of January.
